I have been meaning to write a note about the little guy. Nate has been getting bigger by the second and keeping us on our toes. He loves to point and make hand gestures to grab everything. He is at that age where they love taking everything out of the basket, box, ect. Milo is becoming a pro at taunting Nate with remote controlled cars, and "fishing for nate"
I think Nate will be a climber, he does the steps daily, just going up and down for fun. I look away and he is atop something I didn't think he could get up on! The best part is that he loves music! to make it, to dance. His little baby dance makes my day everytime, it is like a butt shake with a little head bob tossed in.

What to do?
If you had a stage, and a yard to hold 40 to 50 people what would you do?
I personally would hold a "Lake Fest"
IT would be a cross between a concert, and a county fair, with a swap meet thrown in.
Maybe a giant tree swing thrown in....
any thoughts>?

Nathaniel 10 months
There have been so many milestones of late....
first, Nate's feat-climbing the stairs.....which he loves and does repeatedly all day....
He really loved the beach in Maine and made good friends with sand...
He loves music and tonight we even caught him dancing to Radiohead, which truly warmed this heart, indeed.
His loves-bread, Milo and making noise.
Dislikes-car rides, diaper changes and squash.

"The eagle has landed"
well we are back, we got in last night at 8 pm. The trip home was much harder than the trip up. I think the boys were done being in there car seats. Milo also was working on a little feaver. The best part about long trips away is coming back to your own bed! The 90 degree weather ,not so much. The trip was worth it and we had lotsa fun with all of our friends in Maine. Thanks everybody ever so much.

slightly delayed...
Well we were supposed to be in Maine right now, on a 11 day vacation. As luck would have it we got stuck. One of the cooks in the kitchen quit and I had to stay to cover. I ended up working 55 hours! Tonight is my last night, and tomorrow we hit the road running..
I am sad to say no bus yet. I haven't had a whole lot of time, and I didn't want to rush it.

its family, you know.
Just wanted to post this photo of us together as a family. I think this may be the first one of us all together. Chris was the photographer too. NOt to shabby.
All is well, couldn't hope for more.

BabyZilla
The baby Is on the move!
Little Nate has picked up speed and has been keeping mom and dad on their toes! He is always crawling around pulling up and dancing. Now when I look up I don't always find him. So we hosed off the baby gates , and set them up some place where they would lock. Nate doesn't like them.
We have finally gotten around to the "proofing"
With the second child, you are much more laid back about what they get into. "please don't Kiss the outlets"
At one party, to keep Nate happy, I let him wield a butter knife. (Lets just say the guests looked worried) A butter knife it isn't my first choice, but you learn to work with what you got.
The post title is from when Nate attacks Milo's toys. It might be trains, a fort ,or cars, but Nate comes along to tare it up. He does bang up job of it. The big lesson for Milo is learning to learn to live with it. If not , we are in for a long winter!

brothers
that they are,
Hi everybody out there in the "intertubes" Summer is in full swing and the boys have been having fun. Nate has started to really crawl and get into Milo's playthings. It has been a new hobby of Milo to try to keep his stuff away. We are getting really excited for our vacation and looking forward to getting out of the city...
