the petite protester

Last month, just a bit after Halloween, we headed up to our local firehouse to do a bit of protesting. It seems the Philadelphia budget can not handle the added expense of a firehouse for the local residents. Milo and I felt we needed to stand with our neighbors and give the city a little what-for about our safety!

poesy

On Thanksgiving Day, on our ride to Delaware, we were chatting about poetry, and I decided to read a bit of recently written poetry....
Milo listened attentively, and than said he had a poem,
which I happily and almost speedily wrote down word for word...here is his first poem....

::spoken in a young robert frost, dedicated to the moment but not caught up in pretense::

Milo's Poem
or Untitled

Snow comes cold
collapses
than it landed-
it all pieces
snow
the barn snowed in
ice was breaking when it was snowing
the trees died, broke into pieces
the roadway snowed in and the trees were down
& on the road
& the cars can't go
electricity is down
the clouds fall
the monster trucks can't go through
more trees died & knocked telephone wires & collapsed
& the car antenea's were bended
& everything destroyed-even the house
electricty down,
kids couldn't play on the computer
grass going dead
chipmunks and squirrils hided in the burrow
& the signs went down and broke-collapsed
only the monster truck trains can go...

I hope you all enjoyed!

Suprise! We found out nate has a severe allergy to eggs. Last night Jenna made a "breakfast" dinner. Nate had a hard boiled egg and after a few minutes her started to have a reaction. By the time he hit tub time , he was weezing and puffy. A quick shot of benadryl, and a trip to the E.R. He was doing better. Mom and Nate got to have a sleep over and enjoy the lovely hospital food!
I think we are at the peak of our Cpu withdraw. Anyday now. Right?

Pig! We still haven't had a working camera yet, so no new Photos. Life with our "pig " is good. She still is very shy and leery of the boys. Her squeaks of delight when she gets some hay is awfully cute. Speaking of cute.... Nate is Walking! Slowly but surely he has been working on it. At first he had to not "think" about it to walk.
In a few days we will be up to full steam and off to the races. Right now it is a slow waddle and mostly five steps. All my free time has been going into the World Series! The Phillies are in it and the Kitchen is hopping!
Stupid RAIN! anyway I will get some rest soon and return to my life of Guinea pig ranching.
