well another project started. I had started to take the deck down in the back late last year. Now that "winter" has ended I was able to get out and do some work. With the help of Mr "sawzall" It was no problem. I was able to cut up the pieces and build something for Milo. He is so excited. We cant pull him away from it. Jenna is out getting the pieces for the top now. We went with Pvc piping and tarps!! a little cheaper than lumber, and less work too. Every one is invited to stop by and hang out on the "Stoup" Bring on the dance parties!

Best Easter Ever...!

Originally uploaded by zavodk
I have to say, Sunday was the best sunday we have had in a while. It was a mix of fun, family and great food. Milo got a good stash of treats from all of his Grands. I am willing to sacrifice my own oral health to save him from all the sugar. As a parent it, I feel it is my duty!
We also got to play music with all the kids. Nothing better than giving hyper kids an amp, guitars, drum, and Mic to rock the house. It was a fight for the dejembe but it turned into something fun.
Nate is getting so big, he has started grabbing for every thing now. he hasn't mastered rolling over, but it isn't far away. Milo is really into rock and roll right now, anything with a 16th beat will do. His dancing turns into a mosh-pit and he gets to blow off some "steam". Jenna is excited for the spring to be into full swing. She is also looking to taking some classes to shake off the ever present "mama brain". I on the other hand have bus on the brain. I won't bore you with the details, but I might soon have a VW yard! ( a second bus for parts)

And then It began...

Well, I don't know where to start... besides the fact that we bought a bus.....I should say Transporter type 2 1974 VW. It was Inspected! (well not that it should of been) It ran great, until
hour 2, of my trip home. I should have been back at 4 or so. I made it home a little after 10 pm. I picked the coldest day of the month to pick it up.I had to make a couple of stops to warm my feet up. ( no heat) Liz recommended I put my gloves over my thinly socked feet. It died about 3 miles from home. I dont know what exactly happened to the engine but I hope I can salvage most of it. (looks hopeful)
I was going to tare it down anyway, this helped speed up the process and "freshen" him up. I have lotsa hope and every one is so excited. I think he will be ready by August.
Jenna has named him Argyle. Milo is having a blast just running around inside ripping down the walls cutting rope and using the screwdrivers. I am enjoying having my hands busy in something creative/ practical/ rewarding. I thought my Philly family would giving me a hard time about owning a vehicle older than myslef, but for the most part they are all excited.
Some lessons learned so far....
1- buying a bus on ebay is dumb....
2-driving with out plates or stickers is dumb.
3- there is always something else.
4-Busses come standard with, lighters, bows, rolling papers, and pink floyd CD's. ( not joking!)

Hey everybody!

Well fun times here In P.A. We finally got some snow here and Milo was excited to go and play, not to excited to get dressed for it. It took an hour to conjole him into the snow suit/ jacket/gloves/boots to go out side. (he wanted to go, but still was having trouble doing it!)
Nate is still the ball O' smiles and joy. He has a cute high pitched squeal for a laugh now, fun!

Nathaniel, 3 months

Nathaniel, 3 months

Its been three months, Nate, and you are so much a part of this family. We all adore you. Your sweet smile and bits of laughter. You coo with anyone as long as they are spending sometime gazing with you.
Milo is all about showing you the love. He gives you kisses constantly, hugs and doesn't seem to mind at all sharing us with you.
The other day he put on a puppet show, just for you and you were quiet pleased.
You sleep really well at night, are a diligent and happy nurser. You don't fuss very often, but when you do you let us know that something must be done, whether its a diaper change or burp.
One of your favorite and consistent activities is being naked on he changing table. You love to be free and to laugh and kick. You love being naked in the bath too! Your our future nudist, indeed! You love music, especially when Dad plays the guitar for you. You like singing and dancing too...
You do really well with tummy-time; your all about your hands, either chewing on them or watching them move.
At your three month check-up you were 15.4 pounds and 2ft. long....you have lovely blue eyes, and are semi-balding, with a fun little patch of dark hair in the back. I do believe that your hair is starting to grow in.....yeah!
We call you Natty, Nate, Charlie, Plummy-love, Turtle dove and Brother
You seem to enjoy the outdoors, when the weather is nice; you like the sling and your other favorite is the swing,
which is where you are right now,
as I type this little mislet to you,
little sleeping dove...
